technology for the industry as well as academia. It reduces the
financial burden from the cloud service user by purchasing the
computing infrastructure. This technology has given fruitful result
not only for service provider in terms to provide the services online
provider in terms to provide the services online instead offline. As
per the definition of NIST 1, “the cloud computing is the service
deliverable paradigm which is available everywhere. It provides the
computing resources (CPU, memory, bandwidth etc.) to its authentic
users to fulfil the application needs with less management efforts”.
The online resource sharing is an important feature of the cloud
computing which makes it a popular in the world of technology. But at
the other side this technology is always searching an optimal
solution in the issues like data security, data integrity, service
level agreement, multi tenancy, task scheduling, resource allocation
etc. From the performance point of view each one needs to be
addressed properly. The scope of this research is to address the
issues in scheduling of task in the cloud computing. The scheduling
is the process of arranging the incoming request (task) in a certain
manner so that the performance has been achieved. The scheduling is an important
aspect of the cloud computing because this technology has completely
based on the service providing paradigm. In many of the cases the one
service provider of any specific service may be a customer or service
user of the other services. The service users have been submitted
their service requests online so there is a challenging situation has
been raised for service provider to fulfil the resource demands of
such requests. The system without the scheduling may increase the
waiting period of task. In some of the condition few tasks may be
terminate because the waiting time goes increase. The scheduling
algorithm needs to be considering the nature of task, size of task,
task execution time, availability of resources, waiting queue, load
of the resources etc. while allocating a task to respective resource.
The scheduling algorithm must be effective to reduce the idle time of
the resources. These are the issues which are attracted the
researchers to work for task scheduling and resource allocation in
the cloud computing. The aim of our work is to propose scheduling
algorithms for task by using cloud simulator 2. The proposed system
will optimally schedule incoming task and allocate the resources
accordingly efficiently. The performance of the proposed system has
been compared with existing systems in terms of turnaround time and
response time.
